Say “I love you” or “You’re Sweet” to someone special this Valentine’s Day. We are launching our new card Collection at Cardstore next week and wanted to give you all a sneak peak. We designed cards especially for children to give to their friends, classmates, teachers and family. They all include personalization with the child’s name and some can include a pic of your little sweet one’s face! Valentine is also a great way to send love to those you maybe missed sending cards to during the holidays. After all LOVE is in season all year long.

This new calorie counting book is proof that not everything delicious is fattening!! Andrews McMeel Publishing designed the book cover and packaging using our Mod Pucci print. They have used several of our prints in their fantastic Pocket Posh book series including some fun Holiday and Christmas game books. In the current world of digital books and games, its refreshing to see a good ol’ paper and pens being used. The fact that they are well designed, stylish and fit in your bag or pocket makes them that much more irresistible.

Wow, what a wonderful example of the power of great design. These cloth bound classics designed by Caralie Bickfor-Smith for Penguin have reinvigorated interest and sales in these classic tales. The Great Food book series also from Penguin are some of our favorite designs and are also included in this post. You can visit the designer’s website here.

We were doing a little spring cleaning today and came across these floral paintings Rob did a few years back. It just so happens we are putting together some new designs for a project and these might be perfect.

Hellooo.  Just finished up the Surtex art show here in NYC. We are still decompressing from being in “show” mode for the last few months of preparation and exhibiting. It was a good show and we are looking forward to working with our great clients on some exciting new products for the coming year. We went hi-tech this time and used the IPad to show our designs.  After the initial stress of trying to figure out how to use the IPad as a portfolio, it worked like a dream. It showed the art off better than printed paper and we were able to show much more work. We love doing this show because it gives us a chance to meet the talented and fun people we work with face to face. We also really enjoy getting to know our fellow artists who are our neighbors during the show… Shout out to Sheri Berri, Lucky Day, Caleb Gray Studio, Fat Tabby Studio, Pink Light Design, Cinnamon Joe, Fresh Produce and Carol Van Zant!

p.s  sorry for the bad pics and horrible convention center lighting…ewww

Yay! Our Moo mini cards arrived today just in time for our show in NYC. These mini cards are half the size of standard business cards. What they lack in size they make up for in “WOW” factor. We used some of our new designs we will be showing in NYC on the backs of the cards. We are already planning our cards for next year and will probably do an even wider variety. We are also seriously thinking of some other fun uses for these little guys…

Its hard to get in a spooky mood when the sun is finally shining and the first signs of spring are showing. We are busily preparing for the Surtex show in NYC. This is a fun tradeshow for artists to display their work for clients looking at designs for new products. Here’s a sketch Rob did for Halloween and then the final design below. Its always interesting to see how a design develops and changes to its final form. I miss some of the little icons in the sketch so I’m sure I’ll see if I can get another version of the pattern with those included. All in all, pretty Spooky-cute I say!

Check out our new Animal Crackers line of paper crafting products over at GCD Studios. We love this collection and think its a sweet and modern look for baby, children or a theme party. We added a twist to the color palette by including a color we call twilight, which is an ink blue/ washed black. This plays off the softer colors and really gives it a contemporary attitude. Be sure and browse the GCD blog to get inspired by their great designers.

Case Scenario, the maker of some very fun gadget cases has released a limited color selection of Pantone covers. These clever cases look like bold Pantone chips, making them almost impossible for you to misplace your phone. Here’s hoping they eventually come in some of Pantone’s more enticing colors. The current selection is maybe a tad too Crayola. The green and pink are our picks for sure.

Saw this fun chair at Anthropologie today. Its a good thing this wouldn’t fit in my trunk, cause I’d be sitting in it as I write this post.
